Elementary & Special Education Faculty
Our large faculty is active in and out of the classroom. In addition to our teaching, we often present at prestigious academic conferences and publish papers in prominent academic journals. Our faculty:
- conduct research in the field to inform and improve teaching methods and environments for students of all abilities;
- sit on the boards of national associations, including the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities; and
- have spoken to policy makers on Capitol Hill about needs to better serve students with disabilities.
Our areas of expertise and research interests represent the diverse nature of modern education. Our professional focus areas include classroom management skills, inclusive education, assessment for students with developmental disabilities, language development, mathematics education, teaching hands-on scientific investigations, data set analysis, and much more.
